Floral Designs by Meta was founded by Almeta Smith in the late 1990s. Almeta Smith is the Creative Director and began her floral career as a summer intern over 25 years ago - bringing years of experience and expertise to the role.
She has high energy, contemporary concepts and a creative eye that she infuses into her designing and planning. She acquire years of specialized training in the areas of creating and managing time lines, budgeting, vendor management and contract negotiations, in her former career as a network planner.
She continues to educate and update her skills and expertise by attending specialty courses at several local universities and by working with several AFID Certified Designers. She is constantly learning and keeping herself up date of the latest trends by subscribing to the leading trade publications and by attending industry conventions and trade shows.
Floral Designs by Meta is composed of a team with years of experience in various areas of design and fashion. They have a great sense of style and elegance as designers and decorators combined with Meta's more than 10 years as a skilled and creative designer making them an extraordinary group. The Floral Designs by Meta’s team has been privileged to work in some of the premier venues in the Dallas/Fort Worth market. A select few include, The Adolphus Hotel, City Place, The Gaylord Texan, The Fairmont, The Hyatt at Reunion, Plano Centre, The Four Seasons, along with many churches, country clubs and many other venues throughout the Dallas / Forth Worth Metroplex.
